Watch: Why Michigan Will Win the CFP National Championship

Michigan CFP

(Grace Beal/Michigan Daily)

The College Football National Championship is around the corner. Despite the scandal around Jim Harbaugh, the Michigan Wolverines have been highly regarded by the CFP committee. Other sports media companies have given them the best chance at making the College Football Playoff. Right now, they are currently No. 3 behind Georgia and Ohio State.

The Wolverines have had some dominating wins this season. Though, only one of those has come against a ranked opponent in No. 12 Penn State. Their upcoming matchup against Ohio State is one of the most highly anticipated games in recent memory. That game will not only feature two top-four teams, but there’s also the backdrop that includes allegations of a sign-stealing scandal.

As well as the possibility that Ryan Day might have been involved. It remains to be seen if Harbaugh will be back for this game. The Wolverines feature superstars up and down the roster especially, on the offense with the skilled players. This offense has the No. 8 best third-down percentage.

On the defensive side, this team ranks second in yards allowed. It seems that the CFP committee is high on Michigan and you could only imagine that whoever wins that game between Ohio State and Michigan, the winner will probably be No. 1 in all College Football rankings. We’ll be watching that game on Nov. 25. It could even decide which team makes the CFP.

Time Stamps:

0:04 – Superstars up and down the roster

0:08 – Offensive Rankings

0:36 – Defense and potential of having Harbaugh

This series of why each team will win the College Football National Championship is produced by Julian Casciano.
