Sasha Banks likely not going to AEW
In May, the WWE saw both Sasha Banks and Naomi walk out. The two female superstars have not returned since Triple H has taken over as the Chief Creative Officer, and now it appears that Banks may be done with the WWE completely. It appears that she is not headed to AEW either, and instead is headed back to the Japanese wrestling circuit.
Vince McMahon appeared on SmackDown, you might have missed it
Over the past few weeks, there have been rumors that Vince McMahon will be returning to the company that he bought from his father in the 1960’s. Multiple reports have stated that McMahon received “bad advice” when he was told to step away. Though on the episode before Christmas, there was a video package that played highlights of John Cena’s legendary career. The video followed Cena’s journey throughout the WWE. Though, interestingly enough Vince McMahon was also featured in the video referring to Cena as “a real-life superhero.”

Theodore Long is a beloved man amongst WWE fans. Long worked under McMahon as both a WWE Referee and as a manager/GM.
“I don’t see where there was any reason for him to step down or go away,” Long said. “I mean, that’s just my opinion because I don’t know the circumstances or all the facts about what’s been going on. But I just didn’t see any reason for him to step away, and if he wants to come back, let him come back.”
While the retirement of McMahon was surprising when it happened, the company has continued to push forward under the guidance of McMahons daughter Stephanie and her husband Paul Lesque, Triple H.
Theodore long would like to see Vince back though.
“I’d like to see him come back. I got no problem with it.”
Sami Callihans contract is expiring soon
Callihan has been an integral part of the main roster for Impact Wrestling. He’s a former world champion who has been involved in many events recently. However, the two-year contract that he signed at the beginning of 2021 is expiring, and as of now there is no word on if it will be renewed. Callihan also runs his own indie wrestling promotion, Pro Wrestling Revolver, which has been very successful for him. So it may be possible that he wrestles for his own brand.
Dominik Mysterio arrested on Christmas Eve?
The Holidays are supposed to be a happy time for all families, though for the Mysterios it has not been a happy time dating back to when Dominik turned on his Father and Edge at SummerSlam. Dom and Rhea Ripley ruined Thanksgiving at the the Mysterio household, and when they tried doing so at Christmas time, Rey was ready. Upon answering the door, Rey confronts Dominik and tells him to leave the house immediately. When Dominik refuses to leave, the father and son take matters outside where the police show up minutes later. Dominik is then put in handcuffs and stuffed into the back of a police cruiser. The younger Mysterio then begged for Ripley to bail him out and call Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
Ripley pled for the arrest of Rey’s wife who slapped her.
This is leading up to being one of the best storylines heading into the WrestleMania season. Could we see a match between Rey, his wife, Edge and a mystery teammate versus the Judgement Day? Time will tell.
