The Wyatt Sicks assembles to close out Monday Night Raw.

They’re here. The Wyatt Sicks arrived in WWE in spooky style on Monday. Chad Gable is the most recent wrestler written off in brutal fashion, as Ilja Dragunov replaced him in a match he was scheduled for. They also hijacked Pat McAfee’s show yesterday, ending it early.

The payoff to the months of QR codes begins now. The last time a Rotunda’s return was built up this way, it resulted in Bray Wyatt’s final on-screen match being the Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match. It didn’t land at all. After that, Wyatt would need to take some time off due to illness. Just as it seemed he would recover and return, he succumbed to a heart attack. The legacy he left behind is stellar, but there was no shortage of unfinished business.

The anticipation for the Wyatt Sicks is high, but so are the expectations. What is the WWE to do with its newest faction? Here is a potential plan for the group from now to Summerslam.

Rules

There is rarely a need to include rules in hypothetical storylines. After all, rules limit what one can do, especially from a creative standpoint. Regardless, some limitations are going to be in place.

  1. Only one member of the faction will hold a championship at a time, at most. This group ultimately doesn’t care for championships, those are collateral… but with one exception.
  2. Uncle Howdy is the only person who will cut promos in this group.
  3. Tied in with the second rule, nobody in the Wyatt Sicks calls out someone to start a feud. It is all through actions (typically attacks).
  4. The group will fulfill four separate roles. Uncle Howdy is the leader, Erick Rowan and Joe Gacy make up the tag team, Dexter Lumis will stir the pot, and Nikki Cross will chase women’s championships.

Smackdown (June 21, 2024)

The intro video is interrupted again, but instead of an alteration, it’s flat-out cut off. A creepy video plays, showcasing each member of the group. The video ends with some text saying “The plan is in motion.” The show opens with the lights going out, and that can only mean one thing. The Wyatt Sicks enters from different parts of the arena and assembles in the ring. Uncle Howdy cuts a promo about what Bray Wyatt means to him and the group, as well as the group’s mission. He says they are here to do “what Bray would’ve wanted.”

Later in the night, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are set to have a match. Waller tells Theory he has to go to the locker room for a second but he’ll meet him for the match. Theory enters without Waller and is uneasy about it. He slowly walks to the ramp hoping to stall for Waller, but he never shows up. Uncle Howdy appears on the titantron and addresses Theory. He says Waller is “in no condition to compete” as a camera feed is picked up. We go live to the locker room and Grayson Waller is laid out with Dexter Lumis crouching beside him. The match is called off.

LA Knight is backstage ready to confront Logan Paul, but before he does, he runs into an old enemy of his. Uncle Howdy stares him down. He quickly gets out of there, but is cornered by Erick Rowan. Before they can come to blows, Logan takes out Knight from behind. The second he sees Rowan, though, he flees the scene.

Build to Money in the Bank

Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacy continue to harass A-Town Down Under and #DIY, adding some unease to their feud. Austin Theory is getting weirded out as to why he is spared each time those groups are attacked.

Meanwhile, Nikki Cross enters a qualifier match on Raw for the women’s Money in the Bank and uses spooky powers to qualify. She eyes the briefcase like Gollum eyes his precious. On Smackdown, Uncle Howdy has LA Knight paranoid. He qualifies for the Money in the Bank match but is on his toes.

Money in the Bank

A-Town Down Under does not defend the tag team championships at the event, save that for Summerslam. This means Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan are not on the show.

Nikki Cross uses her spooky powers to win the women’s Money in the Bank contract. She has her precious and has one year to cash it in. In the men’s Money in the Bank match, Uncle Howdy uses the power of spookiness to cost LA Knight the match. Uncle Howdy has not forgiven and he certainly has not forgotten.

Build to Summerslam

After weeks of scary moments and beatdowns, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory have had it up to here with the Wyatt Sicks. Nick Aldis adds Erick Rowan and Joe Gacy to the tag team title match at Summerslam, but the pair doesn’t seem that excited about it.

Rhea Ripley returns on the Raw after Money in the Bank. She immediately targets Liv Morgan and it’s made clear their match will be an all-out war. Nikki Cross will remember that.

LA Knight just wants to have a talk with Uncle Howdy at this point. He wants no trouble with the Wyatt Sicks, but his hand has been forced. Knight eventually talks to Uncle Howdy face-to-face. He says he respects and loves Bray and all he did. Logan Paul also spits some fires at the faction, but he starts cutting a little too deep.

Summerslam

The tag team titles change hands at the biggest party of the summer. Erick Rowan and Joe Gacy beat Grayson Waller and Austin Theory senseless, then mysteriously leave the arena. #DIY wins the titles. After the match, Dexter Lumis appears and helps Theory to the back.

Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan tear each other apart in the ring. The two put on a 20-minute wrestling clinic filled with hatred. Ripley hits Morgan with three Riptides to win back the title she never lost… but the lights go out. Nikki Cross appears in the ring and beats Ripley up. She cashes in her briefcase and wins the Women’s World Championship.

Logan Paul has LA Knight and the referee down and pulls out his trademark brass knuckles. The lights go out again, but this time it’s Uncle Howdy’s doing. The lights turn back on and not only is Logan missing his knuckles, but he finds himself in Uncle Howdy’s grasp. Uncle Howdy lands a Sister Abigail and exits the ring. Knight hits Logan with one last BFT and the referee regains consciousness. Knight covers Logan and gets the three count. LA Knight is the United States champion.
