SHINE BRIGHT FOR THEIR TEAM
Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland both made their names noticed in this match week. The Frenchman started on the bench for some extra rest for the upcoming UEFA Champions League fixture. But when things went ugly for PSG as OGC Nice equalized, Christophe Galtier subbed their biggest star on for attacking power. And best bet Kylian Mbappe capitalized with a fantastic first-time finish to keep three points at the Parc des Princes.
And for Erling Haaland, we fans are utterly at a loss for words after seeing his mesmerizing performance against city rival Manchester United. His first two goals were demonstrations of unrivaled physical presence and spacial awareness. He was at the receiving end of two magnificent Kevin de Bruyne assists and then decided to do it himself with an equally beautiful low cross for Phil Foden to make it 4 for Manchester City. Haaland was the same beast in the second half, finished his hat-trick, and put another on the plate for Foden. It is fair to say Erling Haaland single-handedly destroyed the Red Devils.
MBAPPE’S AND HAALAND’S STATS VERSUS RONALDO’S AND MESSI’S!

To catch up with the GOATs, both Mbappe and Haaland need to score at least 45 to 50 goals per season for 13+ seasons to reach the tally, let alone surpass. 45+ goals PER SEASON! And in 13+ SEASONS! It may sound nearly impossible to achieve, but mindfully they are Mbappe and Haaland!
Since their rise to stardom around four years ago, both have consistently totaled 40+ goals for club and country, even in injury-riddled seasons. The talent is there, as some may even say these youngsters are inhuman. And their respective clubs circle them as the heart and soul. As long as their forms continue and, more importantly, stray away from injuries, best believe Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland can reach their predecessors’ legendary status.
We’ve seen how Messi and Ronaldo push each other to the limits to achieve greatness. Fans surely hope these two talents can recreate this type of “friendly rivalry” and keep putting on a show week in and week out.
