Now that the NFL playoffs are in full swing, most redraft managers have completely tuned out of fantasy mode. Dynasty managers, however, know that now is the opportune time to make deals that will help their team for next season. That’s the appeal of dynasty fantasy football. Your season is never over. That being said, relative to FantasyPro’s ECR, here are three players to buy and three to sell.

Players to Buy

Dameon Pierce (RB22)

Pierce had a very solid rookie campaign, rushing for 939 yards and four touchdowns. More importantly, the Texans are likely to use the second-overall pick on a QB, elevating the productivity of this offense. Pierce is not a pass-catcher, but the fourth-round pick is a tough runner, and in an improved offense, will easily score more touchdowns next year. He was one of the lone bright spots for Houston this year, and I would be shocked if they brought in another running back to compete with him. Go buy Pierce and have your RB2 spot locked down for the next few years.

Evan Engram (TE11)

I know. Engram has been extremely frustrating to roster for the last few years. However, this season he had arguably the best year of his career. In his first year catching passes from Trevor Lawrence, he caught 73 passes for 766 yards and four touchdowns, finishing as the TE5. Lawrence took a huge step forward this season, and I believe that he will continue to get better. The Jaguars’ offense is one to buy stock in, and Engram is no different.

Rachaad White (RB26)

Tampa Bay invested a third-round pick in White last offseason, and while he was lightly used to open the season, White got more and more opportunities as the year came to a close. He caught 50 passes, and in the event, Tom Brady remains a Buccaneer, he will be an extremely valuable pass-catching back. If Brady leaves, White is likely to soon surpass the plodding Leonard Fournette. White will probably have at least a couple of seasons as a lead back, which is more than can be said about some other running backs at his price point.

Players to Sell

Trey Lance (QB13)

Lance has a ton of upside. There’s a reason he was a huge sleeper pick this year in redraft. However, Brock Purdy has performed well enough that San Francisco has already named him the likely starter next season. Lance could very well become a solid fantasy quarterback on another team. For right now, though, I can’t justify him being ranked higher than every-year starters like Kirk Cousins or Daniel Jones. There is too much uncertainty regarding Lance right now. Many other analysts are listing him as a buy, so a market is likely there for you to be able to move him.

Najee Harris (RB9)

This take is about talent more than opportunity. Najee Harris is simply not an RB1 talent. In addition, he already has a lot of tread on his tires for a second year back. He received 384 touches in his rookie season, and 313 as a sophomore. The downtick in touches could be a sign of things to come as well. He caught 74 passes with Big Ben turning into a check-down merchant last season. He caught just 41 passes this year, which was a big reason he disappointed. Considering his first-round pedigree, he will likely remain a starter for at least two more seasons but I believe he will be just a mid-tier RB2 in those years.

Deebo Samuel (WR18)

Deebo had an electric season last year, racking up 1770 yards from scrimmage and earning All-Pro honors. His current ECR still reflects that, despite a season in which he only had 864 yards from scrimmage. It is true that Samuel was injured often throughout the season. However, it is natural that he regressed from his 2021 campaign. He is not likely to ever score eight rushing touchdowns in a season again, and he has just 12 receiving touchdowns in 51 career games. Furthermore, it is unclear just how good Brock Purdy truly is. Samuel is a true dual-threat, but with his efficiency this season plummeting from an average of 12.7 yards per touch his first three seasons to a paltry 8.8 this season, it’s time to hop off the bandwagon before his stock goes down even further.
