For the first time since 1999 the Portland Trail Blazers have started the season undefeated through four games. After beating the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, Portland becomes 4-0 on the season. Also announced on Monday, Damian Lillard Western Conference Player of the week for the first week of the NBA season.
Portland Trail Blazers Undefeated…
Portland Trail Blazers being undefeated means a lot after struggling in 2021-22. This season could not have started out any better, Damian Lillard is leading the Blazers to new heights.
What makes this run out of the gate so special is the fact that they have been the underdogs according to Vegas lines in every game. They were supposed to lose every game and are sitting pretty with the best record in the NBA.
Damian Lillard has, as mention above, scored over 30 points in the last three games each. Earning him the player of the week award, I mean it seems fitting.
Damian Lillard Leading the Blazers…
If Damian Lillard is anything, he is loyal, a pure scorer, and leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a beautiful start to the season.
After dealing with injuries most of last season, it seemed like the media and other NBA players alike were trying even harder to get Lillard to leave Portland.
Not only does that not seem to be anywhere near the Oakland natives’ mind, but he also seems to be on a mission to prove everybody wrong.
He has been on fire to start the season. Who knows how far this Trail Blazer express can go, all I know is I am on the wagon!
