
The ravens are hiring Todd Monken as their next offensive coordinator, as announced Tuesday. After an extensive search that involved 14 candidates the Baltimore Ravens have found their guy. Monken will bring experience to that position that was opened up after moving on from their former offensive coordinator. With all of the rumors surrounding the Ravens and the quarterback position, they will attempt to solidify the offense.
Todd Monken Returning To The NFL
Monken is returning to the NFL after spending the last three seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs. While in Georgia Monken served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. During his three seasons two of which have consecutively ended as the college football national champions. Monken put together a top-five offense. In addition to having a top-five offense he also led a unit that averaged 501.1 yards a game and 41.1 points a game as well. Monken’s dynamic offensive style while with Georgia is what Baltimore is hoping to capture.
Todd Monken NFL Experience
In Monken’s NFL coaching career, he coached with the Jacksonville Jaguars as their wide receivers coach. After that stop, he then spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the offensive coordinator. Then finally Monken’s most recent NFL coaching job was with the Browns as the offensive coordinator during the 2019 season.

After the Ravens and former offensive coordinator Greg Roman agreed to part ways Monken was then chosen as the next coordinator. Monken however, was not the only candidate the Ravens were interested in. Baltimore was also interested in Rams passing game coordinator Zac Robinson. Followed by the Bronco’s offensive coordinator Justin Outten. Next was Browns wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Chad O’Shea. Finally, the most notable candidate was Seahawks quarterback coach Dave Canales.
The Ravens conducted 21 interviews that included 14 candidates. However, the organization loved Monken the most. It was stated that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh loved the coaching acumen that Monken brings. As well Harbough loved how Monken teaches his offensive system and wants that knowledge on the team.
